LEADERSHIP BEYOND TITLES
Leadership is a skill and attitude that can be learned and developed. Effective leadership allows one to get results without necessarily having authority. This applies to all levels of an organization, including those in non-supervisory and non-managerial roles. Strong leadership at all levels in an organization is important for a company’s bottom line.
John C. Maxwell wrote extensively about what makes one a true leader and how to continuously grow into a better leader in books such as The 360 Degree Leader: Developing Your Influence From Anywhere In The Organization and The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership. Daniel Goleman wrote about accomplishing the same by applying an emotional intelligence framework for effective leadership in his book Primal Leadership.
